Today’s post is from Melissa Grosso in Fountain Hills, Arizona. We’ve visited her garden before and even had a chance to visit her sister’s garden in California. Today she is sharing some of her cold but sunny garden all decked out for the winter holidays.
A container filled with greens and decorated with a bow brings the holiday spirit to this desert landscape.
The stockings are all hung with care amid the containers of succulents and drought-tolerant plants.
Many succulents blush red in cooler temperatures, creating beautiful seasonal color contrast.
I love how traditional holiday conifer branches mix with succulents to create an unusual but festive display.
The slope next to the garden sitting area is planted up with plants that love and thrive in the dry climate.
A wreath adds a seasonal note to the containers of cactus and other succulents.
Foliage and some berries create a beautiful combination of colors.
