Succulents are all the rage these days, but most often we see them clustered together in pots or arranged in vignettes with each other. But it’s worth trying to combine them wth more traditional perennials, as well, as you can see in this combo created by Tom Nelson and Randy Bolin for their garden in Oakland, California. This pairing includes an aeonium (Aeonium arboreum cv., USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11) and a ‘Ravenswing’ cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris ‘Ravenswing’, Zones 7-10).
Welcome to the Fine Gardening GARDEN PHOTO OF THE DAY blog! Every weekday we post a new photo of a great garden, a spectacular plant, a stunning plant combination, or any number of other subjects. Think of it as your morning jolt of green.
If you think you have a photo that we should share on the Garden Photo of the day, email us. Send hi-res images to [email protected] with GPOD in the subject line. We’ll only respond if we plan to use your photo.
