Region: Mountain West
For five years this plant has bloomed profusely in part shade in the spring. It has spread just a little and been extraordinarily well behaved. It is has been very low maintenance, no diseases or bugs. Everyone comments on the delicate leaves after the blooming has stopped. I think it's much prettier than the Serbian Bellflower, which is more common in our local garden centers.
Campanula portenschlagiana has a long flowering season, but its 'vigorous' [read hard to keep within bounds] habit does not please me.
