Man, I love Osage Oranges (Hedge Apples, Bodock, yadda yadda) the fruit of the Maclura pomifera tree. Visually interesting, great smelling and fun to chuck around the yard, I can't get enough of them and neither can someone else. I just wish I could figure out who...

I found myself making odd piles of them, decorating with them and using them as car air fresheners. I had more than I could shake a stick at (literally!). I filled a tiny wagon with them and used them as Christmas display, until I noticed them disappearing, one by one. 

Who could it be? Whoever it was, they were dumb enough to run off with some superballs instead of the prize a few times....






Yes. Yes. I know it was squirrels.
