Back in the beginning of October, we got a glimpse into Irvin and Pauline Faria’s garden in Carmichael, California. Irvin took a few moments last week to send in some fall photos. He says, “Here are some photos from Pauline’s garden showing the glory of fall color. While the Japanese maples are beautiful, the fallen leaves are treasured as well. The Japanese maples (110 in all) have been selected for their contrasting fall colors and planted to complement other trees and plants. For example, the beauty of the ‘Shaina’ Japanese maple is always specular with Japanese forest grass and the white bark of birch trees is pleasant with the rich red color of the ‘Chitoseyama’ Japanese maple.” Gorgeous, Irvin! Thanks for sharing Pauline’s garden with us again. Send us more photos!

wow! Great color!
Beautiful!
It really doesn't get any prettier, does it?! The feeling of serenity is palpable.
That clump of the graceful variegated grass (Hakonechloa macra Aureola ??) is truly glorious.
Stunning!
Sounds like a garden in which I would enjoy spending a day! I love the birch trees with the fall color.
