We live in College Station, TX and found our new home a real challenge as the soil is clay like and we have a lot of lovely trees but shade more than sun. The container has worked well so far and this beautiful Ligularia plant has been so hardy through all our hard weather. We arrived in May to heat wave hitting 103 to 105 daily for weeks and then we have had freezing weather. We took it into garage for 4 days total in this cold streak but other than that it has been stunningly beautiful and hardy. It has a long growth of daisy like cluster flowers that lasted for months. The leaves are the thing I love as they look like a lilly pad which I have always wanted so it has it all. Great plant and I bought it at Martha's Bloomers at great price. Good luck.
