Hybrid Wichurana rambler

Rosa 'Bobby James'

ROE-sah Audio

This sweetly scented, rambling rose has glossy leaves and produces large groups of semi-double, creamy-white, 2-inch-wide blossoms in summer. It grows to 30 feet high.

Noteworthy CharacteristicsHybrid Wichurana ramblers climb with prickly stems and glossy, dense foliage. They are either remontant or once-blooming in spring or early summer. They make excellent choices for climbing up walls, fences, or other sturdy structures.

CareGrow in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Provide good air circulation and remove fallen leaves to help prevent disease.  Prune to keep within desired space and reduce side shoots by 2/3. To renovate, prune one or two of oldest shoots to 1 to 1.5 feet from the base.

PropagationTake softwood cuttings when bloom initiates in spring to summer; take hardwood cuttings in fall.
