Purple leafed plants

I have a love-hate with purple leaves in the garden. I’m not a big fan of purple trees, but I do love purple ninebark and judiciously placed purple perennials, and I could go practically all purple when it comes to summer containers. What are your favorite purple leaves? Any recommendations?

    I'm having a hard time thinking of purple hardy perennials that I like, but I do love purple basil, strobilanthes, and purply rex begonias.
