Margherita Fabrizio

Margherita Fabrizio found her love of plants as a child, since all the women in her neighborhood, including her mother, were ornamental gardeners. Her biggest influence, however, came about in her early 20s when she worked for the late horticultural writer, gardener, and lecturer Elisabeth Sheldon at her perennial nursery in the Finger Lakes. Their friendship blossomed over decades as they also shared a love for the visual language of nature through painting (Elisabeth) and photography (Margherita). Today, Margherita enjoys putting her lifelong skills to use with her husband, Andy Jordan, curating the gardens of their century-old home in Ithaca, New York.
