Here’s our weekly dose of gorgeousness from Pauline’s garden in Carmichael, California, thanks to Pauline’s husband, Irvin Faria. Irvin says, “An Oribe-style Japanese lantern, designed specifically for gardens by Lord Furuta Oribe (1544-1615), welcomes you to Pauline’s Garden. The entry to this woodland garden features miscanthus grass, crabapple, Japanese maples, and azaleas.” Yet again, thanks for these photos, Irvin. I think, at this point, we all want to come for a visit!

Goodness, every vantage point is perfection. I love the calming arrangement of smooth stones at the base of the lantern.
This is so serene. I wish I could wander through this garden.
So pretty! Color just pops!!
I love that lantern so I had to check it out. I'd like to have one but I need to decide where to place it. And of course in my searching I found so many more outdoor items I'd like to have. http://www.japanesestyle.com/oribe-lantern
