Let's take a break from fall photos. Thanks to Daryl Savage for sharing photos of Frida Kahlo's garden recreated at the New York Botanical Garden this past summer!
"Saw this exhibit this summer and it was fantastic. Most of it was in the conservatory, but it also continued outside next to the water lily pool. Signage was both in Spanish & English w/ Mexican music playing in the background. There were also paintings & drawings of hers on view at the library there."

What a way to wake up! I so love the colorful way they put this together! The blue wall is so striking and exciting! It sounds like it was a great exhibit to experience! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
Cool recreation. Had I not been told, I would have immediately guessed SW or Mexico. Digging the blue wall backgrounds.
Really lovely. I would have loved the extra layer of sound to go with it. Once again I am reminded how even a lowly marigold has impact en masse. Thanks for sharing.
Nice break from the fall pictures. Beautiful compositions. Vikki in VA
Wow! Gorgeous photos and great staging.
I saw the Frida Kahlo garden last year in Mexico and this is an accurate and delightful re-creation. I can almost hear the Mexican love canciones playing in the background.
Thanks for these, Darryl!
On a rainy fall morning, this was a welcome treat. Gratias!
The staff did a wonderful job of making every vignette really pop. The one with the agave raising out of the sea of purple is exceptional.
Lindísimo este jardín tropical.
So sharp and clean. Thanks for sharing these crisp and happy photos Darryl and Frida!
