   Beautiful. I had breast cancer and created a pink garden to sit and spend time with God and myself. I have a Japanese Maple in a pot there. It is still very small, but I look forward to being around when it is large.

   When my boys were small, there was a giant maple..not Japanese, but maple none-the-less..outside our front door. The boys called it the Helicopter Tree for those charming seeds which floated to the earth beneath and sprouted seedlings quite often. Our own Lace Leaf Japanese maple is now carrying the tradition on to the grandchildren. A memory which makes me smile.
