When I retired I finally got to garden the way I wanted to. I planted the 'Kobold' the first year...I experimented with it to see if I could transplant it, where it would grow best, and whether or not I could grow it from seed. After all of this, it still survives (and thrives!). And I must say it's doing it in less than ideal conditions. Very little extra attention, sandy soil, and drought.
Yep! Its a keeper.

Tuck 2/3 bulbs into a container for mid season interest. Dry some to insert into fall/winter urns.

A wonderful addition to the garden - but not as long lived here in Atlanta.
