Genus:  Hemerocallis
This bright yellow flowered daylily has a long blooming period, producing ruffled flowers over four or five months. Each flower opens for one day. It is a vigorous grower that may be the most widely grown daylily.
Noteworthy Characteristics:  Big bang for your buck. Lasts and lasts.
Care:  Provide full sun to part shade and moist but well-drained soil. Daylilies prefer fertile loam. Divide when clumps become crowded.
Propagation:  Sow seed in containers in spring or autumn. Divide in spring or autumn.
Problems:  Relatively pest and disease resistant. Some minor damage from sucking insects like aphids and thrips. Slugs and snails may damage young leaves. Rust is possible.
