I’ve been seeing shade cloth “structures” around town, in friends’ gardens, and noticed it seems to help with sun scald on tomatoes and other crops. I bought some 40% shade cloth, black, and will install it tomorrow in the garden to protect the strawberries, tomatoes, and raspberries.
Have you used anything to shade your garden vegetables in this 100-plus degree weather?
