Dan Long

Dan Long is a horticulturist who specializes in vines and climbers. He studied at the University of Delaware in the 1980s and has worked in the commercial nursery industry for over 30 years. In 1998, he founded Brushwood Nursery in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, a mail-order nursery offering clematis and many other climbers. In 2010, Dan and his wife, Becky, moved their family and the nursery to Becky’s hometown of Athens, Georgia, where the sun is stronger and the season is longer. There they enjoy family, friends, lots of great things for kids to do, and a short drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains when it’s just too hot in Athens. Dan is also a Georgia Master Beekeeper.
