Last month’s mystery plant was Artemisia ludoviciana, otherwise known as western mugwort. This showy perennial is a native of the western United States and is grown for its stunning silvery foliage on plants up to 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It prefers well-drained, fertile soil in full sun and is hardy in USDA Hardiness Zones 4 to 9.
