I’m still at home, sick (when will it end???), so we’re continuing Friday’s theme of the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Today, check out three great combos I spotted on my walk. I think I’ll be posting a few more tomorrow, so stay tuned.

    Feel better SOON Michelle.
We're enjoying your shots from the Botanical Gardens. I'm unfamiliar with the flowering blue? My Japanese painted fern has growth that is reverting to solid green also. I have transplanted some to other locations for texture effects.
    Rest well today friend.

Michelle, so sorry you are suffering from one of those wretched and relentless summer colds...they are the very definition of misery.
The light blue on that one plant is amazing....so clear and true.

The blue flowers look to me like Salvia patens. In my garden, it grows taller, but I can make out one of the individual flowers at the right and they are distinctive. Some people think this plant has the most beautiful flowers of any Salvia.

A summer cold is awful, I know because I came down with a cold yesterday and today it's full blown... my nose is already red and raw from blowing. Have a bowl of my famous chicken vegetable wild rice soup... feel better soon, Michelle!

Hummm - won't be getting this - it would be an annual in my 5-6 zone area and I doubt our local nurseries carry it - darn!

Love the color combos of the plantings... I join the team with my wishes for a quick recovery, Michelle. It's a good thing you have the Olympics to watch while you are recovering! You don't even have to feel guilty about vegging in front of the tube. Feel better.
