A fantastic grower in hard clay alkaline soil! Even takes the Texas heat(100+) very well! Only provision is water, liquid feeding, and mulching. Guaranteed results!!

YAWN! I know daylilies are easy to grow, but if not properly and frequently dead headed, they can be messy and ugly. This little cultivar has been an ever-bloomer with daily dead-heading for me. It also comes back in pots that have winter protection. It's size, flexibility and color make it one of the less boring daylilies, but only when desperate times call for desperate measures.

Love this plant; I have a large colony of them growing in very less-than-optimal conditions (roadside, under an oak, rock ridge underneath, infrequent watering), and yet they grow and flower. I had one neighbor who couldn't believe I had "daffodils" in September!!!

Reliable repeat blooming habit and soft yellow hue make this a must have for any garden spot with sun.

Color is clear, not tending toward gold. But foliage gets straggly even more quickly than my other daylilies. And it doesn't rebloom as frequently as a few others, though it's no piker either.

Fragrant and long blooming. I really like the slightly off-yellow color of Happy Returns.

Great buttery-yellow color, very long blooming. Sand in my garden is very sandy.
