Problems with my Lady in Red Hydrangeas

evej | Posted in Southeast Gardening on

See photos
what is wrong with my hydrangeas?   On the woody stems, there is a crusty formation.  The leaves on those branches wilt and die.   The younger stems seem ok.   The overall plant looks fine but new areas keep appearing with wilted leaves and a crusty residue on the stems.

Hi Eve! It looks like your photos didn't come through! Did you add them as an attachment? If not, try that (you can edit your post). Or you can email them to me and I'll attach to your post! Thanks!
