Brian Decker

Brian Decker is a third-generation nursery professional. He began helping with grafting in the family business at age eight and did his sixth-grade science project on grafting English ivy. He later graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in ornamental horticulture and is now president and owner of Decker’s Nursery, a wholesale nursery in Groveport, Ohio, that specializes in plant propagation. He is also a member of the International Plant Propagators Society and president-elect of the Horticulture Research Institute. After 57 years of grafting, Brian is still in love with watching a new grafted plant spring into life.
