Now is a great time to do an overall evaluation of your garden. I spent this week doing just that. I found some shrubs that needed to be cut back hard after several years of being ignored. I found some blank spots that needed filling in so the area looked fuller and lusher. I saw some places to add ground covers where the weeds were taking over. A few plants didn’t make it through the winter and needed to be removed. The best thing about doing this is the availability of bare-root plants now in the nursery. Budget-friendly, fresh plants always make the garden better. What did you notice about your garden after the winter?
