Irises for North Carolina 7b?

Hi, I mostly only see bearded irises in gardens and stores around my area in the NC piedmont area, and I am wondering about Siberian, Dutch, and Japanese iris varieties. Do any of these varieties do well in this area?

I have had good success with Iris tectorum (Jap. roof iris), Iris sibirica (particularly 'Cesar's Brother') and Louisiana irisis
For a native iris in a shady situation I love Dwarf Crested Iris - Iris Cristata.
