A new garden, a new weed. Ugh.

Every garden has its weed nemesis. I’m working on a new garden and I’m dismayed to find that the weed I have to contend with is nutsedge. So MANY little nutlets in the new bed. In my experience, it’s impervious to mulch. It’s driving me nutlets! What’s your worst weed?

My last garden had nutsedge that about drove me mad! In my current location, I have weeds that I can identify and some that I can't, as they are coming up in my more manicured beds where I pull them before they're anything more than sprouts. Copperleaf, prostrate spurge, purslane, and wood sorrel are some that I can identify, but I would like a good resource that can ID tiny sprouts if such a thing exists. I have tried to focus on planting natives, but when it comes to the beds I try to keep manicured, I consider anything unwanted as a weed, even if it might be native.
Purslane is a pain. I had a lot at my previous house. I had spurge as well, but liked the way it looked between my pavers, so I let it grow there. At least it's native and kept out other weeds. If you'd like help with sprout ID, please feel free to post pictures here. I personally love a plant ID challenge and other gardeners may be able to help as well.
