By Kim Charles

Central Arkansas homeowner/gardener, showcases her young garden that does not fall short on character.

"The courtyard is divided into quadrants and drains via a French Drain into a dry creek bed. It works very well. The garden section in the back corner has been a challenge to design. I'm on the 3rd revision. The grass in one of quadrants is going to be replaced with groundcover. In addition, I maintain 6 raised veggie and herb beds and another flower bed where all my leftover/unused plants are planted. It has become my favorite! I have included a photo of one of the areas where the water drains. These are two underground pipes that deliver the water from the courtyard to the dry creek bed."
