Elymus is a large genus of 150 or more species of grasses that grow in tufts and spread by rhizomes. Leaves are flat or rolled and flowers are borne in skinny, bristly spikes that are sometimes showy and make good cut flowers. Use in a rock garden, natural garden, or border.
