Palmate leaves are fully divided and quite ornamental in some species. 2-lipped, tubular flowers are borne at the end of stems in panicles, cymes, or racemes. Use in a shrub border, against a wall, or in a greenhouse. Noteworthy characteristics: Adaptable to most soils. Palmate leaves and 2-lipped flowers. Care: Tolerant of any well-drained soil in full sun. Propagation: Propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in summer, or sow seed at 43° to 54°F in spring or fall.
