Beautiful- love the statue and placement

Re: READER PHOTOS! Brenda's garden in South Carolina

What a beautiful creation.
I, too, am a South Carolinian and a master Gardener.
Now I live in Saluda,NC but am back in Columbia and Charleston a lot now with the National Garden Clubs Judges program.
Would love to see your plantings sometime.

Re: Eve's garden in Tennessee

Lovely!
So good to experience a garden in the SouthEast

Re: Tis the season...

The grasses always add so much rhythm and texture to a garden,
It would be educational if your could include the names of the grasses(either genus or species or Tm)

Re: What would you do?

For sure a change is needed- lots of great ideas
I would take out the container and add another which is taller than the globs but more rectangular(upright) in shape, make sure it has either a texture or pattern of interest but not from 'Clown College', neutral in color . Then add a 'spiller' and maybe even a'thriller' for a another change in the texture and growth direction.
airy vine(fig) and a fine grass-'Bunny Tails'- whatever will still work with the dark green box

Re: Rose Leaves: To Strip - Or Not To Strip?

Oh Glory!!! Thank you for blessing what I gave up and did in January.!
All those leave still hanging on were just too much!!
See you at Biltmore

Re: Anatomy Of A Rose

As always- useful and clear info. I am a member of the Asheville AABRS and appreciate your work.

Question: I want to plant a mixed bed with dwarf conifers and roses. There are already a couple of David Austin roses in place and a Chymaecyparius.
The soil test reads a pH of 5.5.
Will an acid-loving plant and a rose work in the same bed???
Add caclium to the planting hole for rose??
Just seems this could be beautiful and know you will know!

Thank you!!
