Re: Mystery Plant!
I found a picture of the gorgeous red plant that looks like Ruellia amoena Nees. I googled it under Acanthaceae.

I have bunches of them. they seed everywhere. A friend gave me one a few years ago and she called it chocolate plant since the leaves are basically brownish tones. It is gorgeous especially when It blooms those great purple little blossoms on long stems. I like it in front of the lime colored pearl of Omar. Sorry I don't have the proper names of either.

This is stunning...such a different creation. I just love all the shades of green offset by the silvery lambs ear.

I absolutely love what you have created. You are definitely a gardener after my own heart. I used to take my grandchildren on walks and show them fairy beds of moss etc. This is a must do for me too.

This beautiful plant adds so much to this house. I love Stan's idea. Maybe you should even move the stepping stones in front of it out towards the street more to eliminate some of the problem and fill that with plants. It would be far better to just prune it back a bit if that is necessary to avoid running into it when going up the steps.

Lovely! But, I am wondering how you coherced these plants to do so well together. i know lantana needs sunshine, and the bugleweed needs lots of shade.....at least in Texas. Would love to see all of your garden.

How lovely! I was under the impression that this plant was a shade plant. Maybe that is why I haven't been able to get it to grow for me here in Texas.....or is it just too hot here?
