rhubarb
I look forward to the rhubarb appearing each year in early spring. I think the new leaves that begin to emerge are as beautiful as any flower in my garden.

Re: Book Give-Away: Beautiful No-Mow Yards, by Evelyn J. Hadden
Since my yard tends toward being mostly moss it makes a lot of sense to try something different. I live in the Pacific Northwest and lawns are not the most practical spaces.

Someone recently gave me an old coal bucket with a hole in the bottom. I can't think of better plants to add to this than a variety of succulents. Great inspiration! I loved the mini planter. There are so many cute little succulents available. I may have to pot up some tiny treasures for our garden club plant sale just to hear customers ooooh and ahhhh over them!
