Autumn at The Willow Garden
Frosty mornings such as this don't usually happen until near the end of October each year. Many shrubs retain colourful foliage much later than the deciduous trees.

Marnpoo....our birches do make quite a nice backdrop for the rest of the garden. They seem to have some interest all year. Granted , they do have the rather nasty habit of dropping branches of various sizes during windy days, and also have roots that tend to intrude upon garden beds. We take the bad with the good!

We do have "grounds"...that sometimes means we are never quite caught up. It is also quiet and peaceful. One needs to try and appreciate these fall days, even knowing the snow may soon be flying.
