Re: A chainlink fence transformed
Wonderful display of annuals. I am particularly interested in the small-headed sunflowers used here.
posted: 11:20 am on September 27thDoes anyone know what variety of sunflowers this is?
I've been asked to plan for sunflowers next year and would like to include long blooming ones like this one.
Thanks any suggestions.
Re: Container Shootout
Nice video. I love planting containers but I would suggest you mention the size of the pot you're working with. This is the easier mistake to make: too small a pot. Also pot should be viewed from the distance, from at least 30 feet away to get a real look at the effect.

Re: Viburnum Questions
I'm dealing with a V. opulus which suffers from aphids and today noticed some indentations on one of the main branches, is this insect damage and if so, what can I do about it? The gardening season at this point is so busy I never deal with the aphids before they do damage(curled leaves).

Thanks.

Inspirational combinations, good use of color, some more subtle than others. I love the single Astilbe plant!

I find that if I go months without using latin names I forget almost all except Echinacea!
Thanks.
Re: My Begonia is Awesome!
Begonias are easy to grow, and to propagrate(take a leaf and cut into triangles, including part of the vein, dip point into soil and water) which is why I love them all. Even the less colorful ones have wonderful leaves. The tuberous ones are deer resistant, too.
