John Greenlee is a great advocate for grasses and meadow-style gardening. It is great that he and Saxton Holt have teamed up to create this wonderful book. I always have some containers on my deck where I keep a few Japanese Maples or dwarf conifers - enjoy them for a year or two until they are big enough to go to the garden. I plant trailing annuals such as diascia for seasonal color and texture. I call them my "porch pets."
