Re: READER PHOTO! A happy accident in hypertufa
This is just lovely, but it's the use of the Hens & Chicks, colors chosen, that elevate it beyond just any other container and into that land of imagination and longing on my part for one just like it*!* I grow a large amount of succulents, do a bit better with true Echeveria's which are cousins to hens & chicks although they don't baby up quite as quickly, In face I've had one green one that hasn't produced an offshoot in 6 years, although I keep looking*!* I've only (NOW A DAYS) one other small echeveria that does like to pup/baby up; but it's coming back as are my Aeoniums from a wicked frost. Remarkably the Aeoniums are truly coming around; growing new mutli heads on all the branches that I thought were badly damaged. Needless to say, I am ecstatic! Good Work and GOOD LUCK, REBECCA in TUCSON, AZ*!*

This is a very pretty container. To bad it does NOT have the plants used listed. As a grower of only (so far) succulents, I love learning about what annuals I might use to broaden the bloom time of all my plants! Thanks, I do love this combanation! Rebecca from Tucson, AZ

How timely is this! I just said to my neighbor, in my complete ignorance and error, that I couldn't take the poinsetia plant she received from the people who deliver her free food box monthly, at Christmas time. Well, I'm so happy now, I shall be able to take it; the worst happenstance in our house will be when/if our 3 cats knock it over on their daily dance around the ceiling at breakneck speeds!! Especially since, last year, even under my careful instructions, she managed to kill it with in 2 wks, aargh!??? I was going to give her some succulents in a pot for indoors, but thought better after that, planting them in ground in front of her apt, doing spectacularly, we're both so pleased!! I get ALL mine at triple W gosucculent dot com, note, not plural. Wait till you see their pictures, but I digress. Now we can have our poinsettias and enjoy them also! Thank you so much for dispelling eons of false testimony. And for anyone who no believe, copy/paste that Snopes address and check it out, they're the Sherlock Holmes of internet story debunkers! So many chain letters, one does need help! THANKS FOR SETTING US STRAIGHT, ONCE & FOR ALL! from Tucson, AZ

AMEN, to all the justifiable complaints re: posting photo's. How frustrating this is, knowing you have wonderful pictures and grand stories to tell, then basically being refused entry in the contest, because YOUR WEB SITE, either Can NOT or WILL NOT handle the posting of pix???? Pardon my frnkness, but this is booshee!!! You fix this problem, as everyone has already reduced their pix to invisability and still no workie, what else can YOU DO, BUT Hire someone to fix your glitch's? How about ASAP!! I don't know how many person's actually got to enter, but I'll bet it's not many. Good Luck and HAPPY LANDINGS! RSB FROM Tucson, AZ

These are indeed the colors of said succulents, depending, of course, on how much sun they receive. One must balance sun/water most carefully with all aucculents, some need only a bit to turn vivid colors, other's much more. However much more, almost never means South or West, at least NOT in Tucson, AZ. Those would be first choice for lots more northern climes, however. A caveat about Euphorbia's. One MUST wear gloves always when toching them, they split easiy and the inner sap is poisinuss, to us and our pets, as well as a nightmare if one gets in eyes. Having said that, they're certainly a large genus to choose from, one I've discovered is very hardy and grows well in darn near any dry as a bone joint round here. They grow fast; make pups/babies, and spread out like wildfire (no pun intended). I myself prefer the Sedum, Echeveria, Crassula (the Jade Plant family) which is gigantic, and has so many styles and types of plants, tis remarkable. My very favorite succulent has to be the Aeonium. To see ALL of these, why not check the web site usings w's GoSucculent.com, pls not, tis NOT plural!!I get all mine there, perfect conditions, their own soil mix is to die for, wouldn't use anything else. Yes, on that heavy product, S&H is a trifle high, but once you have it, you don't care about that! In short, I only have to pick out pots, use their soil, plants, and the VERY BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYWHERE, they make me look like a genius! But, tis they who are that! It was my lucky day finding them, and this I promise you. You will never find anyone who's used them, without glowing reports to follow! Nobody' got a word to say again them, it doesn't exist. You check out, You decide! ENJOY, from Tucson, AZ

Would just LOVE this book. My Garden is 100% Containers/Pots, whatever you wish to call them. Some lovely small hand-thrown one's I just love! Lucked out finding that one right here in Tucson, AZ. I grow Succulents, exclusively from GoSucculent.com; have upwards of 45-50+ different types of succulents, many within the same groupings. EX: 6-10 different Aeoniums, at least that many Crassula (this is the famous Jade Plant family) a few more in the Echeveria. From those come hybrids such as Pachyeveria and Graptoeveria, well just take a look, remember in the web address the succulent is single, NOT PLURAL and you'll have no problems. The Photo's are to die for! ENJOY and Good Luck to US ALL! Happy Landings, from Tucson, AZ

A wonderful Aloe, beautiful shape and color. Like most succulents of this type, the blooms are striking when it's time. They're perfect for containers as they will retain a smaller shape in a pot than it will if planted in the garden. That makes these plants versatile for everyone. +++ No need to water, hardly ever! How much easier can it be??? ENJOY!!
