Re: More plantings from the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

Are you SURE that Maine isn't the Garden of Eden? Those photos look heavenly! Such lush beauty. Thanks so much for sharing them.

Re: Book Giveaway: Container Gardening for All Seasons

Living in a small space (40 ft. mobile home) with a yard the size of a postage stamp; this book would be a terrific help for me. The information is great and the photos are beyond terrific! Anything that can hold anything is fair game for me!

Re: READER PHOTOS! Betsy's garden in New York

I used to live back there - not too far from Albany, up in the Voorheesville area and there are some gardens that are soooo lovely, they could make a boulder cry for joy. And your garden seems to be one of those. It simply takes my breath away! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Re: READER PHOTOS! Nancy's tree peonies in New York

Peonies of all types are some of my favorites; but they don't do well at all out here in the So. Cal. inland area. Too hot for them and no cold resting time. (and no big, black ants either!) I used to wander through old cemetery lots in late spring back in upstate NY to see the peonies and the lilacs. Sure do miss them.

Re: Ground cover I like

I saw something at Home Depot, here in San Diego and it was called Australian Violet.

Re: Mystery bush

Nope - no clue. But if there is a vote, I vote to keep it. Sure does look pretty!
