I have evolved considerably in understanding of how it all works (and how it doesn't).
The garden I have been most involved with in the last few years has been a rock garden that I would describe as a West Coast style with some Japanese elements.
I was considering my garden to be saturated with plants and then I rediscovered bulbs; I managed to get 157 bulbs plugged into the ground just to get the whole show going strong in early spring.
I'm most proud of my understanding the relationship between aphids, ants and ladybugs (there is a war here that is truly facinating). I look forward to making my little bit of dirt more magical with every thought and consideration possible.
Finegardening.com has been the most informative and useful website I have found. I am becoming a member because I have questions that I feel some of you green hearted enthusiasts can answer for me. Stay dirty my friends.

I'm almost certain that I'm wrong but the formation of this plant reminds me of the "Aralia spinosa (Devil's walking stick, Hercules club, Angelica tree, Prickly ash)" that is on the plant guide here on finegardening.
