This fast-growing, upright specimen has very attractive small, blunt, dark blue-green leaves and arching branches. Bowl-shaped, pure white flowers are borne midsummer in large numbers. They attract butterflies. 
 Noteworthy characteristics: Use almost anywhere, including the back of a large border.
 Care: Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
 Propagation: Take greenwood cuttings in summer
 Problems: Dieback, fireblight, powdery mildew, and Cylindrocladium leaf spot can affect it. Also watch for weevils, scale insects, and aphids.
