I have grown this easy-to-use Geranium species in zones 5, 7 and Pacific 9. It forms a compact, rounded plant, excellent for rock garden and for front-of-border use. There are a number of cinereum cultivars, all good-looking. As with most Geraniums, cinereum will stop blooming as its seed pods [the 'cranes-bills'] increase unless the gardener is diligent about promptly pinching them off, whereupon the flowers will continue to bloom until the gardener gets tired and quits deadheading.
