Cladrastis kentukea

The genus Cladrastis includes a handful of deciduous trees cultivated for their upright or dangling wisteria-like clusters of flowers (fragrant in some species) and their colorful autumn leaves. They are native to China, Japan, and the U.S. Grow them as specimen trees.
