'Fireglow' bears conspicuous bracts in vivid orange-fuchsia in early summer. It has red stems and dark green leaves, which emerge in spring with a reddish tinge.  
 Noteworthy characteristics: The foliage goes dormant in summer. Because of its vigorous nature, it may be invasive in the right conditions. Milky sap may cause irritation to skin and severe discomfort if ingested.
 Care: It prefers moist soil in dappled shade.
 Propagation: Start seed when ripe or in spring; divide in early spring.
 Problems: Nematodes, spider mites, aphids, mealybugs, fungal and bacterial diseases.
