A wonderful plant! I look forward each Spring to welcoming my Joe Pye weed back ~ we miss him when he is not gracing our garden with his lovely soft mauve tones! This is one of my all-time favorite garden plants. I also grow the tall variety of Joe Pye weed. Many "thumbs-up" for this plant!!! Grown in full sun, Joe Pye is easy and asks for nothing more than the occasional deep drink. I will never be without this plant in my garden.

"Little Joe" is a great alternative to Papa "Joe Pye" for small gardens. This is a no-brainer plant that can tolerate moisture and, once established, drought. Powdery mildew can be a problem if the plant is over-crowded and if it is allowed to dry out during establishment. I like it.

Great flowering! Second year reached 5+ feet and needed staking.

This is a great plant for the back of the border. The flowers are a unique steely pink, but I like them in bud form even better. They are a great texture in a cut arrangement of flowers.

Late blooming, but a real winner when it finally does bloom. I love this plant for cut flower arrangements.
