I have "Ernest Markham" growing through a leather leaf viburnum in a west facing bed. It was in it's second year and had about a dozen flowers. Mid summer my husband was "helping" me prune some shrubs and the vine was cut to the ground. I was not happy. None the less the vine came back stronger with a new flush of blooms and continued to flower until fall. I'm looking forward to see how this gem does this year.
