I found this growing in my pachysandra patch. It looked interesting so I left it alone. It is now 4 feet tall. I'm pretty sure it's a weed but would like to know what sort. TIA

The first year nothing came up. The next year this appeared. I have cut the thing down every year since then about the time it gets 3 feet tall. This year I was going to do as suggested -- wait for it to bloom. It's almost August and there are no signs of budding. It has to be a weed, but I don't have another like it anywhere. This time I'll dig instead of cut. And maybe try Roundup. If it's a flower it isn't very pretty. If you hear anything else, let me know. Posted: 11:37 am on July 27th
