Central Michigan

Can anyone identify this mushroom?  My husband and I have never seen anything like it and just noticed it today.  We live in the middle of Michigan if that helps; Gratiot County.  It's just the strangest mushroom we've ever seen.

fastidle writes: Find out if you have a mycological society or club that meets near you. Then, next time your table mushroom blooms, take it to them to have it positively identified. I had a similar mushroom coming up in my yard in the fall. I took it to a local mycological society meeting and found out its name and that it is edible. Been enjoying eating them since. kevilicious writes: It might be the Amanita citrina, often referred to as the False Death Cap. Here are a couple of links. Good luck.
