These impatiens stayed at the party too long....they don't know which way they're going!

Just a few pots and some copper tubing and your neighbors will wonder HOW you got those things to do that balancing act!

All you need is:

5'  of 1/2" copper tubing or rebar -- MUST be straight

4  -  8" terra cotta pots

1  -  10" terra cotta pot

Pick your location for your "Drunk Flower Pots"

Pound the copper tubing into the ground at least 20"

Thread the 10" pot onto the tubing through its drain hole.  Fill the pot with soil to 2" from the top.  The first 8" pot will rest on the soil.  The others will rest on the rims of the previous pot.

Thread the first 8" pot onto the tubing and tilt in whichever direction you like

Add soil to that pot, and thread the next 8" pot on the tubing, tilting in the opposite direction.  Add soil.

Repeat until all the pots have been threaded onto the tubing.  Plant your favorite flowers or herbs and wait for the doorbell to ring with the question "How'd you do that?!!"

TIPS:  I "dry fit" mine without the soil and found that I could pound the tubing further into the ground.  I also experimented with the direction of each pot that best suited my particular need and the look I wanted to achieve.  Enjoy your creation, and don't have too many cocktails or you'll think they're straight!
