Mystery Springtime plant
comments (7) May 26th, 2009 in gallery
This is a spring flowering groundcover that I transplanted from my mom's house. It has tiny sky blue flowers edged in white. It grows about 4 inches tall and spreads. I would love to know what it is!

The Baby Blue Eyes, I also looked up, is Nemophila menziesii, aka California Blue Bells, has a much different leaf too, described as "ferny". Baby Blue Eyes is a delicate flower with 5 rounded petals and a white center that gives it a friendly, pansy-like look. Several blooms appear on each erect plant. Nemophila menziesii is an annual. Its bell-shaped flowers grow to about one inch across. Its foliage is hairy and fernlike and pale green in color.
Hey, I think I found it! Veronica peduncularis 'Georgia Blue'. Zone 6-9; Plant Type: Herbaceous perennial.
