woodland plant

Is this a true woodland plant?  It also looks similar to a poisonous plant called water hemlock or poison oak.  The stem is fuzzy and the white flowers are similar to small queen annes lace.  My garden is in Northwest Indiana.

R_Olepa writes: I'm in SE Michigan and I have that too. There is just something about its rapid growth and large size compared to other woodland plants that tells me it's really not a native. It is DEFINATELY not poison oak. As a native of California who suffered miserable consequences of getting too close to poison oak, several times as a child, I can tell you that is not poison oak.
I don't think it is water hemlock or cowbane either as the leaves ar not narrow enough. Posted: 10:00 pm on May 8th
