I found this at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens and the tag said "unknown."

Rski writes: Actually, many cymbidiums like quite a bit of sun. Vandas and their relatives are some others that do also. In many climates its safest to protect cymbidiums from full midday sun, though, to help avoid leaf burn. Posted: 6:59 am on May 29th
