Gardeners view showing ground level bench  over storage space in Maries sunken greenhouse built with salvaged windows and concrete block.
Concrete remesh made into tomato cages.  Test sections of culvert pipe from Iowa DOT used as composters and raised beds.
Worm box.  Found design that lasts. This is about the 5th version of the box.  Designed by civil engineer.
Denim grocery bags based on paper bag.  Used more than 10 years.  Recognized and admired at grocery store.
Greenhouse made of salvaged windows and block, built into the ground.  Benches at ground level with storage below.  Most windows open.  Woodstove.
Raised beds and composters from Iowa DOT test sections of culvert pipe.  Shows manure and shreded newspaper, mail mulch cover.

heins writes: The greenhouse is built from salvaged double pane wooden anderson windows. The bench is at ground level and is based on concrete wall build 4 feet into the ground. We bought lumber and some block. The roof is fiberglass designed to let in 95% of the light. The greenhouse is about the size of a one car garage.
The stove is cast iron from a local lumber/hardware store.
Building on is mostly finding the materials and having the time. Posted: 10:58 pm on June 29th
