Friends of Deckers Creek Youth Advisory Board Rain Barrel Workshop
comments (0) April 20th, 2009 in gallery
Friends of Deckers Creek’s Youth Advisory Board teamed up with West Virginia University Landscape Architecture students to build rain barrels which YAB will sell to raise funds for future service projects. The 50 gallon barrels were donated by the Monongalia County Solid Waste Authority. YAB purchased brass fittings and stenciled the FODC logo onto the barrels for added flair. YAB hopes to perfect their barrel building skills and lead community workshops on rain barrels and water conservation this summer.
